Katya Migacheva selected as the 2012 James Marshall Public Policy Fellow

Katya Migacheva

Katya Migacheva, a graduate of the Psychology of Peace and Violence Program was selected as the 2012 James Marshall Public Policy Fellow from the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues.

Katya obtained her doctorate in Social Psychology with a concentration in Psychology of Peace and Violence from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.  In her research, Katya has sought to understand factors that contribute or present obstacles to harmonious intergroup relations As a part of her fellowship, Katya obtained a placement as a lead democratic fellow on the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission in the U.S. House of Representatives. The Commission’s objective is to promote, defend and advocate internationally recognized human rights norms in a nonpartisan manner, both within and outside of Congress.
