He earned Bachelor’s degrees in psychology and philosophy from the University of Rhode Island in 2013. From 2011 to 2015, Mike worked on a clinical-research team at Brown University's Memory and Aging Program. During this time he investigated the ability of new neuropsychological instruments and spinal fluid analysis to predict patient response to shunt placement in hydrocephalus. In 2015, Mike joined the Speech, Reading, and Cognition Lab at Southern Connecticut State University. He earned a Master’s degree in psychology from Southern Connecticut State University in 2016 after completing his thesis on developing a new screening instrument to detect reading disabilities in college students.
