UMass Amherst Parents Association

The Office of Parent Services and the Parents Fund are pleased to announce our latest opportunity for parent involvement, the University of Massachusetts Amherst Parents Association (UMAPA). All parents of undergraduate UMass Amherst students are members of the UMAPA and there is no charge for being a member.

UMAPA membership cards were mailed to families at the start of the Fall 2011 semester along with the Fall Issue of Family Ties, and our new Parents Association Calendar and Handbook.

The UMAPA helps build the connection between UMass parents and the campus community. A number of area merchants are offering UMAPA members discounts at their shops and restaurants.

We also hope to increase parent involvement on campus by expanding opportunities for volunteerism and advocacy as the year goes on.

We are excited about starting the Parents Association and look forward to working with you over the coming years. We hope you'll enjoy the benefits of our membership while exploring the Pioneer Valley!
