Office of University Outreach
The Office of University Outreach was established in 1997 to bring focus to outreach work at the University. The Office works to advance our capacity to conduct and communicate about the work that we do with external partners and communities and the services that we can offer them. The office also works to recognize and give visibility to those doing academic outreach within the University and to facilitate relationships with external partners, legislators and state agencies.
There are a number of units on the UMass Amherst campus whose work is completely devoted to serving external constituencies. The Office of University Outreach directly supervises five units such units. They are: Continuing & Professional Education, University Without Walls, 88.5 FM / WFCR, UMass Extension, Arts Extension Service.
