Lifelong Learning
It is the nature of the learner that makes outreach-teaching activities at the University stand out from the teaching and research more commonly associated with a campus like UMass. The outreach learner is not a registered graduate or undergraduate student at our institution: they are the hidden student body, the quite literally thousands of individuals who connect in many rewarding ways with the Commonwealth's public university every year. The University offers many courses and workshops through programs such as Continuing & Professional Education, the University Without Walls, off site degree programs, distance education.
