Education Interns
We are seeking enthusiastic, hardworking individuals with at least three years of college and a passion for teaching and the natural world. General familiarity with the natural environment/agriculture is a plus, however our training will integrate natural history and lesson-related background. Hours: 40 hrs. per week, including some weekends. Completion of a Learning Contract and periodic evaluations. Commitment to the entire length of the term (start and end dates are flexible.)

Public Relations & Communications Internship
Requirements:
•Interest and knowledge of the natural world.
•At least two years of college. Preference is given to candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and completion of one semester of Graduate School.
•Prior experience in the fields of environmental science, environmental education, communication, journalism or other related field. •Exceptional writing and proofreading abilities.
•Exceptional public speaking ability.
•The ability to work well on a team, but the flexibility to work independently with little supervision.
•Knowledge of PageMaker helpful.
Description:
A public relations and communications internship will be available in summer & fall 2007 in the Marketing & Development Department at CNC’s Rowe Woods site in Milford, OH. This internship reports to the Public Relations and Membership Manager. The internship requires assistance with public relations and communications, including: preparing, distributing and following up on press releases; promoting and scheduling speaking engagements; researching and writing articles and op-eds for newsletters and other publications; assisting with plans for the Great Outdoor Weekend; assisting with publication layout and design; assisting with overseeing publications through the print process; updating and preparing original copy for CNC’s web site; editing a wide array of publications; cataloging slides, and print and digital photographs; maintaining a catalog of press releases and press clippings; making presentations about CNC to the general public; other duties as needed.
