UMass Employee to Oversee Olympic Broadcasts

Mark Morel of Ludlow, chief engineer for the video instruction program at the University of Massachusetts, will join [the] technical team, serving as senior video operator in the athletic stadium, where the Olympics' opening and closing ceremonies and track and field events will be held.

His job, overseeing the image quality broadcast to NBC viewers, is "exciting and terrorizing at the same time," Morel said.
