Leadership

The campus leaders most directly involved in the CDSJ Initiative are the heads of the five executive areas of the campus:

  • Charlena Seymour, Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor
  • Joyce Hatch, Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance
  • Michael Gargano, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and University Life
  • Elizabeth Dale, Vice Chancellor for University Advancement
  • John Dubach, Special Assistant to the Chancellor (Chancellor's Area)

These leaders have met together over the life of the CDSJ Initiative to discuss its direction and their role within it, and have attended periodic joint meetings of all the Executive Area Teams.

As of 2004-2005, this leadership group has expanded to include:

  • John Lombardi, Chancellor
  • John McCutcheon, Athletic Director
  • Paul Kostecki, Associate Provost for Research
  • Sharon Fross, Associate Provost for OUtreach

As the CDSJ Initiative moves ahead, one newer role for the leadership group is to look at the assessments and emerging change plans from executive area teams to help determine instances in which campus-wide responses may be appropriate in addition to local responses within executive areas.
