Associate Director of Assessment
Are you interested in...supporting faculty and staff in the assessment of student learning and other educational outcomes; conducting research into the effectiveness of educational initiatives; collecting and analyzing evidence to identify benchmarks for success?
The University of Massachusetts Amherst's Office of Academic Planning and Assessment is seeking a full time professional to design, execute, and manage assessment processes at the course, program, and institutional level. We are looking for an individual who combines a facility with statistical methods with direct experience in designing and implementing research projects. The Associate Director of Assessment will be a part of a collaborative team engaged in a wide range of assessment, evaluation, and educational effectiveness opportunities.
Qualifications: Master's degree (Doctorate preferred) in the social sciences, education, or related field; three years' higher education assessment, planning, evaluation, institutional research or other relevant experience; knowledge of measurement and evaluation, survey research, and statistical analysis techniques; experience managing and using complex data (SAS or SPSS preferred); the ability to work effectively with faculty, administrators, and others; and superior analytical and written and oral communication skills.
Hiring salary range: $45,400 to $56,800. Normal starting range is $45,400 to $51,100.
