Freshman Registration

The School of Nursing works with the The New Students Program to provide new students the opportunity to meet with an advisor and register for courses. A very important time for this is during Summer Orientation when students learn about many facets of the University, meet with School of Nursing faculty and staff, and register for courses.

At the same time there is an accompanying 1 day and 2.5 day program for parents interested in learning more about the University. Check with the New Students Program for information about this and Summer Orientation http://www.umass.edu/newstudent/

Newly entering students receive a Registration Access Code Number (RAC) during the advising session part of Orientation.

School of Nursing students continue to need a RAC code number for each semester they register for courses. This number changes every semester and students get their RAC code number by meeting with their advisor.

Students need to remember to check their student email for news having to do with pre-registration and many other happenings and opportunities within the School and the University.

Information on how to register for courses, a list of courses by semester, course descriptions and the University's Undergraduate Catalogue are available on the OIT SPIRE For Students Website
