Nursing Students Inducted into Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society

Thirty-four UMass Nursing students were among the 121 regional nursing students inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau Beta Zeta At-Large Chapter Nursing Honor Society at Westfield State University on November 14.

Dr. Mary Ellen Burke, Clinical Assistant Professor and President of the Beta Zeta At-Large chapter, welcomed students from the five Beta Zeta member nursing schools: UMass Amherst, Elms College, Westfield State University, American International College and Bay Path University. UMass Amherst Clinical Instructor Nancy Thompson gave the keynote speech congratulating the honorees. Other speakers included the president of the university and the dean of the College of Education, Health, and Human Services at Westfield State University.
