Achieving Diversity Initiative Scholarship Fund
This scholarship opportunity was established in 2012. The Achieving Diversity Nursing Workforce Enhancement Scholarship opportunity is designed to support nursing students dedicated to promoting diversity, increasing positive patient health outcomes, working to decrease health care disparities and promoting health equity.
Eligibility: First and second semester junior nursing students from the Traditional Undergraduate Nursing and Second Baccalaureate Programs.
Selection: Both merit and financial need based scholarships will be awarded.
By accepting the Achieving Diversity Scholarship, the recipient agrees to participate in at least three (3) ADI community outreach activities and to continue working to maintain academic excellence.
College of Nursing Scholarships
Eligible student groups are notified during the fall semester that they may apply for certain scholarships with a deadline of May 1. Other selections for scholarships and awards are made by the College based upon eligibility criteria.
Scholarships and awards are presented annually in late May or early June at the College of Nursing Scholarship and Awards Reception. The actual scholarship monies will be credited to student SPIRE accounts for the Fall 2013 semester through the Financial Aid Office.
