Although nurses represent the largest group of health care professionals; there are not enough nurses to meet the growing health care needs of the Nation’s increasingly diverse and aging population. To meet the nursing needs of the Nation and to prepare the nurse of the future, we have an undergraduate program, second BS program for individuals with a previous degree who are now interested in nursing, an RN to BS program for RNs seeking a baccalaureate degree and our graduate programs (Clinical Nurse Leader, PhD, and DNP). With great pride, we have just graduated our first class of nurses with a DNP degree (May, 2009).
Our faculty include experienced teachers and researchers who are committed to making a difference by providing students with a quality education to help meet the challenges of today and tomorrow. Our faculty are change agents through engagement in community outreach, practice innovations and research. On October 2, 2009, we will officially dedicate the opening of our new state of the art School of Nursing building which include simulation labs, amphitheatre, and student workspaces all designed to provide a positive and nurturing learning environment.
If you are interested in nursing and making a difference, please contact us.
