Brian Kane joins the Aboriculture and Forestry program
The Arboriculture and
Community Forestry program
has welcomed Brian Kane as the Massachusetts
Arborist Association Chair
in Commercial Arboriculture.
Kane’s position was made
possible by an endowment
contributed by the Association
and other arboricultural
groups who benefit from
the unique training the
program's students receive.
The program is the only
one in the country that
emphasizes commercial tree
care and its graduates are
in high demand. Mark Tobin,
past president of the MAA
and a member of the search
committee who recruited
Kane, is enthusiastic about
the addition. “Brian brings
real-world experience as
well as academic training.
We’re very excited about
the knowledge and skills
students will have in
hand when they enter
the profession.”
