Annaliese Bischoff plans redevelopment for Turner Falls
Annaliese Bischoff,
Associate Professor of
Landscape Architecture,
has been awarded a
Public Service Endowment
Grant for a redevelopment
project in Turners Falls.
Bischoff will lead teams
of graduate and undergraduate
students to develop
designs for re-using the
old Cumberland Farms
building on the site of the
Great Falls Discovery
Center. The renovated
facility would support the
arts and cultural tourism
in the community. Senator
Stanley Rosenberg,
expressing his excitement
about the grant, reflects
that “A lot of thought,
effort, and resources have
gone into improving the
Turners Falls Business
District. Developing this
building would only add
to the vibrancy of the
downtown revival.”
