Associate Professor Alhabeeb Wins Teaching Award

M.J. Alhabeeb, associate professor of Resource Economics, recently received "The Outstanding Educator Award for Innovative and Creative Teaching" from the Academy of Educational Leadership at the International Conference of the Allied Academies.

Professor Alhabeeb's skills were exemplified by the impressive application he compiled for the award. "The Academy of Educational Leadership called for competitive applications, including a CV, a statement on my educational vision and philosophy, quantitative students' evaluation for the last ten years, qualitative students' evaluation for the last ten years, colleagues' evaluations, selected pedagogical records such as syllabi, handouts, projects, and assignments, and a record of innovative and creative approaches. It was a tedious process but I was lucky to win among many fine applicants," said Professor Alhabeeb.

The Allied Academies, Inc., is an international non-profit organization with scholars in fourteen discipline-academies. Its purpose is to support and encourage research and promote the sharing and exchange of ideas, knowledge and insights throughout the world.
