• One course focusing on diversity in the United States (ALU, ATU, HSU, IU)
• One course focusing on diversity outside the United States (ALG, ATG, HSG, SBG, IG)

Biological & Physical World (3 courses)

• One Course (BS)
• One Course (PS)
• One Course (BS, PS, SI)

Basic Mathematics (1 course)

• One course (R1) or earning a sufficiently high score on the Math Placement or Tier 1 Math Exemption Exam

Analytic Reasoning (1 course)

• One course (R2)

Writing (2 courses)

• One course (CW) or exempting through the Writing Placement Exam, SAT and Achievement Test scores or Advanced Placement Test Score
• One course (JYWR) offered through student's major
