What is the difference between an internship and a co-op?
Internships:
- Associated with academic credits (tuition)
- Faculty sponsor is required
- Part-time or full-time
- Summer, semester or January
- Occasionally salaried
Co-ops:
- Salaried
- Summer, six months, eight months, or a combination
- Considered a full-time student while at placement
