The College of Natural Resources and the Environment Careers Office assists
and guides students in understanding and acting upon the critical relationship
between their education and successful career planning. Our primary goal
is to equip students with the means to make sensible career decisions
Our counseling, teaching, and special programs are designed to fit the
needs of the individual student. Furthermore, we believe each individual
enters into the process of career development at different points in the
undergraduate experience. We are, therefore, student-centered in our work
and offer a variety of ways for students to develop their own plans and
position themselves for satisfying and gratifying experiences after graduation.
We offer:
- Comprehensive career counseling and education
- Workshops in academic departments
- Alumni Mentoring
- Alumni Career Forums
- Internship, co-op, and permanent placement
- Networking opportunities
Career planning is NOT finding a post-graduate job. Career planning IS
consciously taking advantage of opportunities to position yourself to
identify and secure the most appropriate post-graduate experience.
