Here is a preview of the Winter NSO schedule. A detailed schedule including times and locations will be handed out when you check in at your session. Winter sessions begin early in the morning, at 8:15 AM and conclude at 5:30 PM. During your one day session you will attend the following:
Arrival and Registration:
Pick up your schedule and materials for your orientation.
Campus Resource Fair:
Stop by to pick up information on campus resources and get answers to your questions.
A quick review of the schedule and chance to get excited about the upcoming semester
Small Group Academic Meeting:
Meet with an NSO leader and other new students to prepare for your advising appointment, and find out more about course planning and registration.
College/School General Meetings:
Every major belongs to a school or college within the university. Learn about your academic niche and hear from the Dean of your college.
Advising and Registration:
Talk to an academic advisor and register for your spring classes using SPIRE.
Check out the campus and learn where to find important offices and resources.
Get your UCard Picture Taken:
More than an ID, this is your library card, meal ticket, residence hall key, and if you so choose, an on-campus debit card.
During orientation you'll also have time gather information and ask question about your credit evaluation, living on or off campus, and the honors college (if applicable).
