How to Register for Parents & Family Orientation

You can register for the Parents and Family Orientation once your student has signed up for orientation.

Please complete the online registration form indicating the session date and program you plan to attend. You may pay by credit card or check.

If you wish to pay by check, make the check payable to: University of Massachusetts Amherst. Please include your student's name and ID number on the check.

Send both the check and the printout of your registration form to:

Accommodations

Parents and families should arrange for their own overnight accommodations.

One option is the UMass Hotel and Conference Center. The rate is $139/night plus taxes. You can contact the hotel directly at 1-877-822-2110 to make reservations or book online. Please mention the New Students Orientation code, NSP13C. Please note space is limited so please book early.

Where to Park

The only place to park during the Parents and Family Orientation is the Campus Center Parking Garage. You MUST park here to avoid ticketing in the "permit only" lots. You will receive an exit pass at sign-in.
