Fall NSO 2013
After Summer NSO, Fall NSO is the next step on the pathway to a great UMass Experience. This exciting weekend takes place August 31-September 2.
At Fall NSO, the entire campus will be mobilizing to welcome you! Your Residential Life staff will share important guidelines for living in the halls and help you make connections in your new community. You'll meet your Resident Assistant, your neighbors, and get comfortable in your new home.
Fall NSO will kick off with a College Meeting with your Dean. You'll learn about key resources for your academic niche and connect with classmates in your specific area of study. Next, at New Students Convocation, we're going to celebrate you and your class! At this official welcome, you'll hear from key university leaders and a star upperclassman. We'll also teach you the university's cheers, fight song, and alma mater; important stuff!
Throughout Fall NSO staff from almost every university department will be available to help answer questions. You'll also participate in programs, activities, and involvement fairs where we'll introduce you to anything and everything you want to know about on campus. This entire program is developed to help you feel comfortable and ready to succeed in every way you can at UMass Amherst.
