Schedule

Here is a preview of the Winter NSO and Transfer Student Registration schedule. A detailed schedule including times and locations will be handed out when you check in at your session.

Arrival and Registration:
Pick up your schedule and materials for your orientation.

Small Group Academic Meeting:
Meet with your student counselor and other new students to prepare for your upcoming advising appointment, and find out more about course planning and registration.

College/School General Meetings:
Learn about your academic niche and hear from the Dean of your college.

Advising and Registration:
Talk to an advisor in your department and register for your spring classes using SPIRE.

General Information Drop-In:
Stop by to pick up information on campus resources and get answers to your questions.

Foreign Language Exam:
For students with three or more years of French, Spanish, German, and/or Latin.

Campus Tours:
Check out the campus and learn where to find important offices and resources.

Get your UCard Picture Taken:
More than an ID, this is your library card, meal ticket, residence hall key, and if you so choose, an on-campus debit card.


When to Arrive

Orientation starts at 9am. When making your travel plans, please allow time to park, check-in, and pick up your materials.

Where to Park

Parking for your one day Winter NSO session is available in the Campus Center Garage located at One Campus Center Way in Amherst, MA 01003. You will receive a parking pass when you check out.
