It’s official: You’re now a member of UMass Amherst’s global community. New Students Orientation is your first taste of life at the university. It is also our first chance to welcome you in person, with all the warmth and enthusiasm a letter of acceptance simply can’t convey.
Orientation, as you probably know, is a top-to-bottom look at what’s what. You’ll meet fellow students, request your residence hall, discuss your academic path with an advisor, and select classes. You will also have the chance to participate in workshops, learn about extracurricular activities, and hear what students, faculty, and staff have to say about your opportunities as a UMass Amherst undergrad.
