The concluding event in the Envision Depot Square Holyoke project will showcase and celebrate architectural designs and proposals developed by University of Massachusetts Amherst architecture + design students in response to recent community dialogues.Other UMass Amherst students who have been engaged in community-based learning and projects through the efforts of UMass Civic Engagement & Service Learning will also be on hand to discuss their work with a variety of Holyoke organizations, students and residents.
Exhibits will be open for viewing from 5:30-6:30 p.m., followed by presentations from 6:30-7 p.m. and music and dancing from 7-8:30 p.m.
The program is presented in collaboration with the City of Holyoke, Holyoke Food and Fitness Policy Council, Holyoke Public Schools, Dr. Marcella R. Kelly Full Service Community School, Pioneer Valley Planning Commission /New England’s Sustainable Knowledge Corridor, Gateway City Arts, Paper City Studios, Nuestras Raices, Peck Full Service Community School, Connections After-School Program, Homework House, the Holyoke Boys & Girls Club and the Center for Design Engagement.
