Julian Tyson’s research focuses on nutritional and environmental contamination of dangerous elements including aluminum, antimony, arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury and selenium. Tyson studies methods to detect these hazardous elements in areas the public would encounter them in everyday life, such as in their food, beverages and dietary supplements, as well as in water, soil and plants.
