Aline Gubrium’s (uh-LYNN GOO-breeum) research focuses on addressing health inequities among marginalized women, youth and families using participatory digital and visual storytelling to research views on sexuality and reproductive health.

In studying how people make sense of, respond to, and confront the many influences that shape their sexuality, she has worked with African-American women living in a southern rural community, women using Depo-Provera contraception and Latino/a youth to address barriers to sexual communication and sexuality education.
