Wesley Autio is a pomologist—an expert on the growing of apples. His research focuses on apple and peach rootstocks, controlling the growth of apple trees with mechanical and hormonal approaches and chemical thinning of peaches.
Autio currently serves as director of the Stockbridge School of Agriculture, leading efforts to strengthen the school’s educational, research and outreach programs. He also has extensive experience with experimental design and statistical analysis and extends his guidance to numerous graduate committees.
