St. Baldrick’s is a volunteer-driven children’s cancer charity that raises funds by hosting events where participants collect pledges to shave their heads in solidarity with kids battling cancer.

Police officers and firefighters from Agawam, Amherst, Belchertown, Erving, Hadley, Holyoke, Montague, Northampton, Northfield, Springfield, South Hadley, the UMass Amherst Police Department and Massachusetts State Police, and other agencies throughout the Pioneer Valley will participate. UMass Amherst fraternities and student groups are joining the festivities with teams to raise money for the cause.

The head-shaving activities will begin at 11 a.m. Local businesses have donated thousands of dollars of raffle prizes to be awarded throughout the day.
