ASA president Paul Fixen presents the Environmental Quality Research Award to Baoshan Xing

Baoshan Xing, professor of environmental and soil chemistry in the Stockbridge School of Agriculture, received the Environmental Quality Research Award from the American Society of Agronomy (ASA) on Nov. 8 in Phoenix.

The award is given to “recognize contributions that have enhanced the basic understanding of environmental sciences in relation to agriculture, or demonstrated sound and effective management practices for maintaining or improving the quality of soil, water, and air resources.”

The award, which includes a certificate and a $2,000 honorarium, was presented during the ASA’s joint annual meeting with the Crop Science Society and the Soil Science Society of America.
