Williams Presents Mathematics Research at Conference in Albuquerque

Floyd L. Williams, professor emeritus of mathematics and statistics, spoke on “Magnetic resolvent trace formula for 2d black hole vacua” during the western spring sectional meeting of the American Mathematical Society held April 4-6 at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.

Williams, who was named a fellow of the AMS last year, presented his work at a special session on topics in spectral geometry and global analysis.

A member of the faculty for 30 years until his retirement in 2005, Williams continues to serve on doctoral committees in his department.
