Westmoreland elected to CCR governing board

Chemical Engineering professor Phil Westmoreland has been elected to the governing board of the Council for Chemical Research (CCR).

CCR was formed in 1979 to promote cooperation in basic research in chemistry, chemical engineering, and related disciplines through leadership collaboration across discipline, institution, and sector boundaries. Its members head most of the U.S. chemical research enterprise, comprising more than 200 companies, universities, and government laboratories with a combined research and development budget of more than $7 billion.
