AMHERST, Mass. – The website University Primetime.com’s list of “The 50 Best Colleges for Food in the United States for 2013” places the University of Massachusetts Amherst at the top spot for collegiate dining.

According to the site, “We came to the conclusion by surveying students from across the country and analyzing previous rankings that other companies made. By surveying students at each university, we came to the conclusion that UMass had the highest amount of votes of students who liked food, rating Berkshire the #1 dining hall in the country.”

Ken Toong, executive director of Auxiliary Enterprises at UMass Amherst, said, “We’re overjoyed with the ranking; it’s always nice to see UMass in the national spotlight. A huge thank you to our favorite customers, the students, for their continued support. Students are definitely the driving force for our success. We will continue to innovate and focus on serving sustainable, healthy and delicious food to all of our customers. Go UMass!”
