Vella selected for Endocrine Scholars Award

Kristen Vella, a doctoral student in Molecular and Cellular Biology, has been awarded an Endocrine Scholars Award for 2006-07.

The award, given to only seven students annually, includes a $4,000 monetary prize, free registration to the ENDO 2006 meeting, free membership in the Endocrine Society for one year, and complimentary online access to all Endocrine Society journals for a year.

Vella works with Deborah Good, associate professor of Veterinary and Animal Sciences.

"This is a highly prestigious award, given to recognize trainees who display outstanding achievements in endocrine research," says Good.
