The University Club & Restaurant is hosting a three-course surf & turf Harvest Dinner for $25 on Wednesday, Oct. 30 from 6-8 p.m.
The menu for the evening features traditional New England favorites, with local ingredients highlighted throughout the dishes. First course options include spiced pumpkin bisque, roasted delicata squash, and arugula salad with goat cheese and spiced walnuts. Following the first course, entrée options for the evening include butter poached lobster, velvet piopinni mushrooms, golden beets, tarragon reduction, BBC-braised beef short ribs, parsnip puree, tuscan kale, stout jus, roasted onion, trumpet mushroom and goat cheese tart with hazelnut butter.
For an additional $10, guests can enter a raffle to join Quabbin Valley Paranormal after dark as they explore University Club grounds and its shocking, haunted past.
Those unable to attend the dinner can enter the raffle by visiting the Worcester, Hampden or Franklin Markets to buy tickets and receive a free “UMass Ghost Hunt 2013” T-shirt. The drawing will be made in the UClub lounge at 8 p.m. on the Oct. 30.
