UMass Amherst Political Economy Research Institute to Host  Public Forum on Massachusetts Climate Policy

AMHERST, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts Amherst Political Economy Research Institute (PERI) will host a forum on Massachusetts climate policy at 4 p.m. Monday, March 6 in the third floor conference room of Gordon Hall, 418 North Pleasant St. The event aims to foster a discussion about the state of debate on—and what the future may hold for—climate policy in Massachusetts.

The forum will feature state Rep. Solomon Goldstein-Rose, Elisabeth Hamin, professor and department chair of landscape architecture and regional planning, James Manwell, professor of mechanical and industrial engineering and director of the Wind Energy Center, Robert Pollin, Distinguished Professor in economics and co-director of PERI, and Marc Breslow, research and policy director of Climate XChange, a nonprofit organization working for a comprehensive policy solution on the issue of climate change.

Retired state representative Ellen Story will moderate the event, which is free and open to the public.
