Career Services at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is hosting its annual Campus Wide Career Fair on Wednesday, Feb. 11 in the Campus Center Auditorium. The event is open to students of all majors and years. About 80 companies including Enterprise Rent-A-Car, J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., the Peace Corps, Raytheon, Abercrombie & Fitch Co. and Kohl’s Department Stores are expected to attend the fair.
Organizers say in recent years about 2,000 students attended the fair. They say most companies will be looking for graduating seniors. Job opportunities, co-ops and internships will be available.
Career Services advises and encourages graduating seniors to start early, be persistent, network, and to speak articulately about their skills and goals. They also note that university alumni who will be present at the fair will be wearing ribbons.
The Summer Co-op & Internship opportunities fair will be held the next day on Thursday, Feb. 12.
