UMass Amherst HackUMass Participants Display Inventions Nov. 5 at the Integrative Learning Center

UMass Amherst is hosting a 37-hour, student-run HackUMass hackathon beginning at 9 p.m. on Nov. 3 in the Integrative Learning Center. More than 1,000 participants are expected.

A Demo Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5 in the Integrative Learning Center atrium. There is an awards ceremony at 3 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom. HackUMass is the largest gathering of its kind in the Pioneer Valley. The event organizes students of all technical abilities into teams that build software or hardware projects, or combinations of both, from scratch. Workshops include: Idea Jams, Tech Talks, 3D printing, and a Ladies Storm Hackathon meet-up. Updates throughout the weekend can be found on Twitter @HackUMass.
