UMass Amherst Chancellor David Scott Will Address MBA Graduates from Holyoke-Based Program

AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts School of Management will celebrate the graduation of this year’s class of master of business administration students from its Holyoke program on Tues., May 12 at 7 p.m. in the Art Gallery at Holyoke Community College. Thirty-nine participants will receive their degrees.

The Part-Time Professional MBA Program, begun in 1980, offers evening classes to working professionals in the region. This year there are about 300 degree and non-degree students enrolled in the program offered at Holyoke Community College, according to Heather Miller, director of the Office of Graduate Programs. The School of Management started a second off-campus MBA program in Pittsfield in 1995.

Besides Scott, David M. Bartley, president of Holyoke Community College, Thomas O’Brien, dean of the School of Management, and Robert Nakosteen, director of the school’s master’s program, will speak at the graduation ceremony.
