UHS honors 15 retiring staff for 423 combined years of service

University Health Services honored 15 retiring staff for their combined 423 years of service at a July 10 reception in the Campus Center’s Marriott Room.
 
The retiring staff are:

  • Elsa Yarmac, Health Records, 14 years
  • Catherine Barnard, Transcription, 16 years
  • Constance Lentz, physician, 25 years
  • Christin Martin, Reception, 26 years
  • Suzan Smith, physician, 28 years
  • Joanne Barszewski, Pharmacy, 30 years
  • Alan Calhoun, physician and interim director, 31 years
  • Kevin Rhines, Ancillary Services, 31 years
  • Helen Drake, Radiology, 32 years
  • Richard Rubin, physician, 32 years
  • Susan Fields, nurse practitioner, 35 years
  • Carole Rugg, Radiology, 37 years
  • Janet Martyn, nurse practitioner, 38 years
  • Frederick Bloom, director of Eye Care, 38 years
Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance James P. Sheehan, and Maria T. Coach, UHS’ director of finance, human resources and planning, presented each retiree with a certificate of appreciation from the Massachusetts Senate and a keepsake hardwood chair bearing the UMass Amherst seal.
