Students at UMass Amherst to Plant Perennial Gardens
AMHERST, Mass. - On Monday, April 26, UMass students taking the class "Herbaceous Perennials" will plant perennial gardens outside various University of Massachusetts residence halls.
The project is a partnership between the students, who designed and are planting the gardens, the Housing Office, which is providing money for the perennials, and grounds personnel from the Physical Plant, who are preparing the soil.
Students will be in the Southwest area from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and outside Van Meter residence hall in the Central Residential Area from 2:30-4 p.m.
