Social Justice Education well-represented at conference
Faculty, alumni and students from the Social Justice Education Program in the School of Education served as invited institute facilitators at the 17th annual National Conference on Race & Ethnicity in Higher Education held June 1-2 in Miami Beach.
Professor Maurianne Adams and associate professor Barbara Love offered an Institute on Social Justice in the College Classroom while associate professor Bailey Jackson and Linda Marchesani, director of Workplace Education and Development and an SJE alumna, offered an Institute on Multicultural Organization Development.
Alumna Leah Wing, a lecturer in Legal Studies, offered an Institute on Conflict Resolution and Social Justice in Higher Education.
Another program graduate, Charmaine Wijeyesinghe, and doctoral student Eric Hamako led an Institute on Multiracial Students and Identity.
