Silver remembered in education journal
The late Patricia "Trish" Silver, professor in the Department of Student Development and Pupil Personnel Services, was recently honored in a special memorial issue of Equity & Excellence in Education.
Silver, 60, died June 20, 2003. A member of the faculty for 21 years, she was graduate and undergraduate program director for the School of Education. She also served for 14 years as director of Learning Disabilities Support Services, a program that she founded.
The special issue, guest edited by Social Justice Education alumna Susan Pliner, presents the most recent scholarship on Universal Instructional Design and Higher Education, and includes essays by Pliner, associate professor Joseph B. Berger, Educational Policy, Research and Administration, and Social Justice Education graduates Heather W. Hackman, Laura Rauscher and Mathew L. Ouellett, associate director of the Center for Teaching.
