National and international keynote speakers and presenters will be giving papers on Shakespeare’s translation, adaptation and performance at a Shakespeare in Translation Conference hosted by the Renaissance Center on March 7-9.
Presenters include keynote speaker Jean-Michel Déprats of the Université Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense, Frank Albers of the Universiteit Antwerpen, Belgium, Nely Keinänen of the University of Helsinki, Finland, David Bendiksen, doctoral student in comparative literature, Ali Pour Issa of Bridge Theater Ensemble, Iran, and Peter S. Donaldson of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The conference starts with a reception at the Renaissance Center on Friday, March 7 at 5 p.m. The next two days of the program take place in Herter Hall.
