Robert Levin Publishes New Book on the Plague

Robert E. Levin, professor of food science, has published a 227-page book on the plague. It is titled, “The Plague: History, Clinical aspects, Immunology, Molecular biology, and PCR Detection of Yersinia pestis, the Causative Agent.” It is published by Research Signpost.

Levin has been a member of the Food Science department at UMass Amherst since 1964. He is a member of the American Society for Microbiology, the Society for Applied Bacteriology and the Institute of Food Science.
