Dangerous ice or snow conditions should be immediately reported to the Physical Plant, according to director Ray Jackson.
“This has been a very long and challenging winter season with extreme cold temperatures and periodic snow events. Over the past several weeks, the Physical Plant grounds and custodial staff has been continuously working to clear snow and treat sidewalks and parking lots. However, with the constantly changing weather conditions, ice and snow can buildup and accumulate rapidly on ground surfaces,” said Jackson.
Hazardous or slippery conditions developing in a walkway or parking lot should be reported to the Physical Plant Service Desk by calling 545-6401, he said, and a crew will be dispatched immediately to properly treat the reported area.
“Thank you for your ongoing support in assisting the Physical Plant to maintain safe walkways and parking lots on campus during the winter months,” Jackson added.
