Pulitzer Prize winner to speak March 5

Pulitzer Prize winner Suzan-Lori Parks will give the Theater Department Frank Prentice Rand Lecture on Monday, March 5 at 4:30 p.m. at the Rand Theater.

Parks is a playwright, screenwriter and novelist and received the 2002 Pulitzer Prize for her play “TopDog/Underdog.”

Parks’ other plays include “The Death of the Last Black Man in the Whole Entire World,” “The Sinner’s Place,” “Venus” and “In the Blood.” Her novel, “Getting Mother’s Body,” was published in 2003.

The lecture is free and open to the public and will be followed by a reception.
