Poets to read at Jones Library

The Jones Library and jubilat, a campus-based literary journal, are sponsoring a reading by poets Matthea Harvey and Nick Flynn on Sunday, Oct. 24 at 3 p.m. at the Jones Library, 43 Amity St., Amherst.

Harvey is the author of two collections of poetry, "Pity the Bathtub Its Forced Embrace of the Human Form" and "Sad Little Breathing Machine." She is the poetry editor of American Letters & Commentary.

Flynn''s first colection of poems, "Some Ether," won the PEN/Joyce Osterweil Award and was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize. His second book of poems is called "Blind Huber."

The jubilat/Jones Reading Series is sponsored by the Friends of the Jones Library, jubilat, and the Juniper Initiative of the MFA Program for Poets and Writers.
