Philippines Relief Dinner Planned for Jan. 24 at Berkshire DC
A Philippines Relief Dinner is being held Friday, Jan. 24 from 5-9 p.m. at Berkshire Dining Commons to raise money for disaster assistance to victims of Typhoon Haiyan, which devastated parts of the Pacific nation in November.
Hosted by Dining Services and the UMAHON committee, a part of Volunteer UMass, the event will feature chef Graciel Caces, a freelance writer and food stylist, and a culinary demonstration at 7 p.m.
The menu will include beef kaldareta, chicken wing adobo, squash and longbeans in coconut milk, steamed rice and other dishes.
Donations will be collected by staff from Student Affairs and Campus Life.
