Continuing & Professional Education recently appointed Keith Paul as director of marketing and recruitment, where he will oversee strategic marketing and recruitment efforts for CPE, strengthening UMass Amherst’s position in part-time and online education while helping advance new program development through targeted and data-driven marketing.
He brings more than 20 years of marketing experience to his new role, 12 of which have been in higher education including time teaching in UMass Amherst’s Online Journalism certificate program.
CPE vice provost Geraldine de Berly said, “I am delighted to have Keith on board to help CPE with its marketing and recruitment for the various schools and colleges offering programs through CPE. The marketing and recruitment function is crucial to maintain healthy enrollments in programs. We welcome Keith’s expertise and look forward to his building his team while spearheading numerous CPE projects including the implementation of Salesforce and a new website. Additionally, on CPE’s behalf, Keith will coordinate the work with University Relations and several marketing teams on campus to optimize our marketing spend.”
Before returning to UMass, Paul served in marketing leadership roles at MassMutual, Dell EMC, Rocket Software and HeyWire. He also built digital marketing programs in prior roles at UMass Amherst and at Western New England University. Paul has a B.A. in sociology from UMass Amherst and has studied design theory at the Rhode Island School of Design and marketing at Northwestern University.
